Rogan Kitchen Brand Development and Website Design

Challenge

This client needed a brand and logo that better resonated with their audience while showcasing their dedication to quality craftsmanship. Specializing in designing and building custom solutions, they required a brand identity that reflected these values. To strengthen their connection with both existing and new customers, a complete brand overhaul was necessary, including updated collateral materials and a custom website.

Approach

Given the client’s preference for a certain style, the new logo and brand had to be modernized while preserving a classic look that reflects the quality and attention to detail they offer their customers. In addition to a serif font, subtle detailing was incorporated to evoke a refined, old-school design with complexity and elegance.

These design elements were carried through to the collateral, particularly the business card, which not only displayed contact information and marketing messaging but also included space for customers to jot down notes, adding to its practicality.

A custom website was also developed, designed to resemble a kitchen countertop with Polaroid photos scattered across it, creating a warm, familiar atmosphere. The design was fully custom-built, with front-end graphics sliced into components for developers to turn into a coded website. The result was a functional, user-friendly site that perfectly aligned with the new brand and its values.

Thoughts

This logo is from my earlier years and is another branding project I am proud of to this day. This was the first time I put together a full brand package, including the custom logo, a variety of collateral elements including purpose-built solutions for this client’s needs, as well as a fully custom website, which saw me working alongside a professional website designer and programmer. This project is where I started to diverge from purely branding and logo design, to having to think about web design and implementation. This brand is still going strong, despite being work developed very early in my career.
