Another personal project involving 3d, this faux CD cover was created as part of a class project. I had planned out the project to include a multi-pocket folding cover as well as space for a lyric/bio booklet. CD label covers were also developed. This was more of a tech demo for a 3d plugin called Greeble. This plugin is capable of dividing any surface and extruding the divided segments by varied heights to create a multi-layered object automatically. Such a plugin could be used for rendering city backdrops, or abstract imagery. The imagery shown here later evolved into a new brochure and informational postcard series done for PARTEQ Innovations.
